This kit depicts the standard Type 4 signal box produced between 1876 & 1904. Walkways were not originally fitted but were installed from 1880 to assist cleaning the windows. The Type 4 box was the most widely reproduced of all box designs and was found throughout the system. This kit has a timber base.
